Swiss bank Julius Baer appoints Edinburgh boss

Swiss private bank Julius Baer International announced the appointment of Calum Brewster as its Edinburgh-based Managing Director, Head of UK Regional Offices.

Brewster’s appointment follows Julius Baer International’s move to make substantial investments in the UK and Ireland with the opening of new offices in Edinburgh, Manchester and Leeds.

Brewster joins from Barclays Wealth & Investment Management where he was most notably Managing Director for Scotland, Northern Ireland and the North of England.

Prior to that he was Head of Client Experience and Strategy at Lloyds Banking Group and Head of Client Services at Scottish Widows.

Brewster holds an MBA from Herriot-Watt University’s Edinburgh Business School and is a member of the Chartered Institute of Securities and Investments.

Having joined the firm at the end of 2017, Brewster sits on the Executive Committee of Julius Baer International. He reports to David Durlacher, Chief Executive of Julius Baer International.
