NatWest-RBS appoints Narula to key retail MD role

NatWest Group — the bank formerly known as RBS — has announced the appointment of Raghu Narula as Managing Director, Customer Engagement & Distribution, within its retail banking division, from June 2022.

Narula has held senior roles with HSBC in six markets across Asia, the Middle East, Europe and the UK and currently manages HSBC’s Retail and Wealth businesses in India.

Prior to this, he held a series of roles based out of the UK as HSBC’s Global Head of International and Customer Propositions and as the Head of Distribution for HSBC UK.

“Narula brings a wealth of leadership experience from a career spanning over 20 years at HSBC in Retail, Wealth Management, Commercial Banking and Strategy and has a strong track record in leading businesses, improving customer service and driving colleague engagement,” said NatWest.

“In his role as MD for Customer Engagement & Distribution, Narula will be responsible for the Bank’s service through digital (video, webchat and secure messaging), telephony and branch.”
