Stockbridge homes most expensive in Edinburgh

A new report from Macgregor Property has revealed a “bright year ahead” for “prime”residential property in Edinburgh.

The average sale price for prime Edinburgh property reached £546,000 in 2024, the report said.

Despite prices holding steady, Macgregor Property’s analysis revealed transactions were up 4.33 % over 2024.

Trinity was among the areas to see prices rise, with increases of almost 2% over the year.

Meanwhile, Merchiston has seen the biggest increase in valuations since 2021, with prices up more than 10%.

Stockbridge remains the most expensive area for prime homes in Edinburgh, with average prices of £468 per square foot, followed closely by the New Town.

Macgregor Property specialises in selling high-end Edinburgh homes, with average sale prices of more than £1 million over 2024.
