Glasgow-based cloud computing firm iomart confirmed on Friday that it is one of a number of parties in early stage discussions regarding the potential acquisition of the German managed hosting company PlusServer.
The company said in a stock exchange statement: “iomart, the cloud computing company, can confirm that further to recent press speculation it is one of a number of parties in early stage discussions regarding the potential acquisition of the German managed hosting company PlusServer GmbH.
“There can be no certainty that these discussions will lead to an agreed transaction.
“The company will further update the market in due course.”
PlusServer describes itself as “the market leader for managed hosting in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.”
PlusServer currently hosts more than 5,000 corporate clients from 52 countries.
iomart said earlier this month that it would hike its dividend 90% after revenue rose 17% to £89.6 million and adjusted profit before tax grew 18% to £22.4 million in the year to March 31.
