Aberdeen-based engineering and oil services giant Wood plc said on Tuesday it has been awarded a contract with the US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) to provide “environmental remediation services in support of the U.S. Army Environmental Center’s Army Environmental Cleanup Strategy in Europe.”
“The five-year framework agreement has an aggregate maximum value of $41 million for the multiple awardees and is estimated to reach completion by 202,” said Wood.
Wood said it will provide a wide range of “environmental remediation” services at various known or suspected contaminated sites for the US Army Environmental Command and other Department of Defense customers in Europe.
Ann Massey, CEO of Wood’s Environment & Infrastructure Solutions business, said: “Wood has a 25-year history of providing solutions to meet the long-term objectives for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.
“Aligning with our focus to further globalize our environmental liability and remediation services, this contract demonstrates our ability to deliver for the Corps, an important client for us globally.
“We look forward to continuing to support the Corps in remediating sites throughout Europe. “
