NatWest Markets Plc has announced that its director of finance Simon Lowe will take on the role of interim chief financial officer (CFO) for NatWest Markets.
Lowe will replace current NatWest Markets CFO David King, who announced his resignation in November 2021.
In his interim position Lowe will join Robert Begbie’s management team, as well as NatWest Group plc’s finance executive committee.
NatWest Markets said it is undertaking an internal and external search for King’s permanent successor as CFO.
King will step down from his CFO role, his role as an executive director of NatWest Markets and his role on the supervisory board of NatWest Markets N.V. on April 1.
Lowe will join the supervisory board of NatWest Markets N.V. on an interim basis as an observer.
Lowe has worked at NatWest Markets for over 16 years and has most recently been responsible for the financial control, product control and valuation teams.
NatWest Markets CEO Robert Begbie said: “I look forward to welcoming Simon to my leadership team and thank David for all that he has delivered in his role.
“Our markets business continues to unlock potential for customers across NatWest by connecting them to international wholesale and capital markets, and collaborating with them to provide the risk management and financing solutions that help them realise their potential and thrive.”
