Former Schroders fund manager Katherine Davidson has joined Edinburgh-based investment giant Baillie Gifford as an investment manager in its Global Stewardship Strategy.
Baillie Gifford said its Global Stewardship Strategy invests in sustainable growth companies “seeking to identify enduring businesses that make a positive difference to society.”
Baillie Gifford’s Global Stewardship Strategy had assets under management of £1.1 billion as of June 30, 2022.
Davidson will work closely with Toby Ross, an existing investment manager in the strategy.
Ross said: “We are seeing growing interest in sustainable investment.
“Katherine adds considerable experience and expertise to the team, which will be invaluable as we continue to develop and improve the Global Stewardship Strategy.”
Davidson said: “Baillie Gifford’s culture and focus on long-term investment are aligned with my own values.”
Davidson was previously based in London, where she was instrumental in developing and managing Schroders’ Global Sustainable Growth Fund.
She joined Schroders on the graduate scheme in 2008 and held various sector responsibilities on its Global and International Equities Team.
