Thurso-based battery cell developer AMTE Power plc announced the appointment of Anita Breslin to its board as chief financial officer (CFO).
Breslin will join the AMTE Power board on November 28 and become CFO on December 1.
“Anita brings more than 20 years’ experience in financial and commercial operations, most recently as group finance director at Blue International Group, a privately owned integrated mining, energy, and infrastructure business in Sub-Sahara Africa,” said AMTE Power.
“Prior to this, Anita worked at Joule Africa, a renewable energy business as Interim CEO and CFO and has also held senior roles at Vattenfall Heat UK Ltd and BG Group plc.”
Breslin qualified as a Chartered Accountant with PricewaterhouseCoopers.
AMTE Power’s manufacturing facility in Thurso has the second largest battery cell manufacturing capacity in the UK and the company also has a product development team based in Oxford.
AMTE’s proposed MegaFactory in Dundee is expected to be operational and in production by Q3 2025 and will be capable of producing over 25,000 batteries per day, enabling the company to rapidly scale up cell production.
AMTE Power chairman David Morgan said: “I am delighted to welcome Anita to the board and look forward to working with her.
“She brings strong financial experience, and I am confident will contribute significantly to AMTE Power as it continues on its ambitious growth trajectory.”
Breslin said: “I am very excited to be joining AMTE Power and supporting Alan, the new CEO, and the team as the business enters the next phase of its exciting growth to scale up and meet the huge demand for battery technology.”
