Scots Paintings & Sculpture Auction achieves £2.4m

Auction house Lyon & Turnbull said its flagship Scottish Paintings & Sculpture Auction achieved over £2.42 million in sales.

Samuel John Peploe’s “Still Life with Fruit and Flowers” saw competitive bidding to achieve £425,201.

John Duncan Fergusson’s “Rose in the Hair” sold for £243,95.

Peploe’s “Pink Roses in a Blue and White Vase” achieved £218,951. Peploe’s “Wooded Landscape” sold for £106,451

“Marigolds with the Yellow Cup” by George Leslie Hunter sold for £118,951. Hunter’s “Villefranche” fetched £100,201.

Edward Atkinson Hornel’s “A Japanese Tea Garden” fetched £100,201 including premium.
