Securities Trust drops ‘Scotland’ from its name

Edinburgh-based Securities Trust of Scotland, the £230 million global fund, announced it has changed its name to STS Global Income & Growth Trust plc.

The investment trust terminated its contract with Edinburgh-based asset manager Martin Currie in September 2020 and appointed London-based Troy Asset Management.

“The company’s trading instrument display mnemonic (or TDIM), ISIN and SEDOL all remain unchanged,” said the trust.

“Shareholders are unaffected by the change and existing share certificates will remain valid and should be retained.

“Any new share certificates issued will bear the name STS Global Income & Growth Trust plc.”

The fund’s 10 biggest shareholdings at April 30, 2023, were British American Tobacco, Reckitt Benckiser Group, Unilever, PepsiCo, Paychex, Philip Morris International, CME Group, Novartis, Diageo and RELX.
