Blackford, Perthshire-based natural source water producer Highland Spring Group said its 2025 revenue rose 10.2% to £163.4 million and profit before tax soared 70% to £12.9 million.
In its annual report, Highland Spring said: “Highland Spring recorded its strongest sales performance to date in 2025, surpassing competitors to become the UK’s largest water brand in both value and volume.
“The brand secured a 12.5% value market share (up 1.5 percentage points from 11% in 2024) with retail sales growing £57 million in 2025 to £258 million, representing a 28.7% increase versus 2024.”
The firm is owned by the wealthy Al Tajir family and employs almost 500 staff across the UK.
Highland Spring added: “Last year, following an initial launch in 2024, we undertook a nationwide roll-out of our flavoured still water range which offers a healthier way to hydrate and has enabled us to capitalise on the 400 million litres flavoured water category.
“To support the growth of this range, an investment of approx. £10 million has been made at our main site in Blackford which will provide circa 25% of extra growth capability every year and enables increased flexibility in sustainable packaging formats.
“The group continues to progress projects which reduce the amount of packing we use through lightweighting and we are increasing the amount of recycled PET in our bottles as the quality and quantity becomes available.”
