Jann Brown takes on senior role at Wood Group

Former Cairn Energy chief financial officer Jann Brown to become Wood Group's senior independent non-executive director

Aberdeen-based energy services giant Wood Group said Jann Brown — former chief financial officer of Cairn Energy and president of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland (ICAS) — will succeed David Woodward as the company’s senior independent non-executive director.

Wood Group said that after serving on its board for nine years, Woodward intends to retire and step down from his current roles as senior independent non-executive director and chair of the remuneration committee at the company’s annual general meeting in May 2016.

Brown, who has been a non-executive director of Wood Group since 2014 and is chair of the audit committee, will succeed Woodward as senior independent non-executive director and Jeremy Wilson will succeed Woodward as chair of the remuneration committee.

Wilson has been a non-executive director at Wood Group since 2011.

“I am grateful that Jann and Jeremy have agreed to step into the roles of senior independent director and chair of the remuneration committee respectively and I know they will serve Wood Group well,” said Wood Group chairman Ian Marchant.
