TSB hit by yet another IT glitch as payments delayed

TSB bank has been hit by yet another IT glitch just days after the firm and its Spanish parent Sabadell were mauled by law firm Slaughter & May’s investigation into the massive IT crash at TSB bank last year.

“Some payments into TSB accounts have been delayed overnight and we are working to process these as soon as possible today,” said TSB early on Friday.

Many customers failed to receive wages, benefits, pensions and other payments into their accounts, reports said.

“We apologise for the inconvenience this has caused and will ensure customers are not left out-of-pocket,” said the bank.

“If TSB customers need emergency cash contact us via the number on the back of their card.

“Customers can still use their cards to make payments or withdraw cash.”

TSB added: “Overnight some payments were delayed in and out of TSB accounts.

“This has now been resolved and the payments have been completed.

“We apologise for any inconvenience this has caused.”
