Edinburgh investment firm Abrdn announced that Sarah Deaves has joined its Personal Wealth business as head of financial planning from Schroders Personal Wealth.

Deaves will report directly to Caroline Connellan, Abrdn’s CEO of Personal Wealth.

“She is responsible for leading the financial planning business supporting the ambition to help clients have financially secure futures in a way that works for them,” said Abrdn.

“Sarah will work closely with Paul Titterton, who recently joined as Head of Digital Solutions, to explore how digital can enhance our financial planning offering.

“Sarah has many years of experience in wealth management, joining from Schroders Personal Wealth, where she was MD, Client Relationships and Wealth Advice.

“Previously she held the role of UK Wealth Director at Lloyds Banking Group and is a former CEO of Coutts & Co.”
