Glasgow-based whisky, gin and rum company Edrington — owner of The Macallan, Highland Park and The Glenrothes — announced the appointment of Patricia Huyghues Despointes and Edward Cumming-Bruce as non-executive directors with effect from April 1, 2025.
“Ms Huyghues Despointes joins with a strong background in finance in the luxury consumer goods sector and is currently Group CFO with SMCP, a French listed international fashion group based in Paris,” said Edrington.
“Previously she was CFO of Givenchy and held a number of senior group finance roles at LVMH after gaining her accounting and finance qualification with EY. She will chair Edrington’s Audit Committee and sit on the Nominations and Remunerations Committees.
“Mr Cumming-Bruce has had a long career as a senior corporate advisor working on major transactions for government and private clients and was co-founder of independent investment banking advisors Gleacher Shacklock LLP having spent 12 years at Kleinwort Benson previously.
“He is a longstanding advisor of Edrington’s principal shareholder The Robertson Trust and will act as the Trust’s Non-Executive Board representative. Edward will sit on the Audit, Nominations and Remuneration Committees.”
Edrington employs over 3,300 people in its wholly owned and joint venture companies, with over half employed outside the UK.
