Glasgow-based secure cloud services firm Iomart Group plc said on Friday it will unite its cloud services activities under a single brand — Atech.

Last October, Iomart announced the acquisition of Kookaburra Topco Limited, the holding company of Atech Support Limited, for a total of £57 million.

Iomart’s shares have fallen roughly 80% over the past year.

On Friday, Iomart said: “As part of its ongoing strategic development, iomart Group … is pleased to announce a significant milestone in the evolution of its cloud services offering.

The Group has taken the decision to unite its cloud services activities under a single brand: Atech.

“This brand unification reflects the Group’s commitment to delivering a more integrated and client-focused proposition. The change brings together the innovation and agility of Atech with the scale, resilience, and infrastructure capability historically associated with iomart.

The transition to the Atech brand enhances iomart’s go-to-market approach, simplifies its brand architecture, and enables clearer communication of the Group’s differentiated value proposition to clients and stakeholders.

This initiative aligns with iomart’s growth strategy, positioning the Group to better serve the evolving needs of its clients and support its ambitions of becoming the UK’s leading secure cloud services provider.”

Iomart CEO Lucy Dimes said: “This step is not just a branding name change, it is a further step in our transformation.

“By uniting the strengths of two exceptional cloud brands under one, we are simplifying how we present ourselves to the world and sharpening how we communicate with our stakeholders, all underpinning our growth strategy.”
