Investors gather for Scots Global Investment Summit

Some of the biggest names in UK and international finance will gather in Edinburgh this week for the Global Investment Summit, hosted by Scottish Financial Enterprise and the Lord Mayor of London.

Companies represented among the 250 delegates will include NatWest-RBS, Morgan Stanley, Blackrock, Mizuho Financial Group, Barclays, Phoenix Group, Scottish Power, Lloyds Banking Group, Scottish Widows and PwC.

Participants at the summit will include UK central bank governor Andrew Bailey, NatWest-RBS CEO Paul Thwaite, Scottish National Investment Bank senior independent director Carolyn Jameson, BlackRock UK chair Sandy Boss, Scottish Enterprise CEO Adrian Gillespie, Scottish Power CEO Keith Anderson, Scotland’s First Minster John Swinney and Barclays Group Head of Strategic Policy Katharine Braddick.

Others attending include Aberdeen Group chief investment officer Peter Branner, Morgan Stanley Head of EMEA Sustainable Finance Mikael Down, Scottish Government Minister for Business Richard Lochhead, Lloyds Banking Group Scottish Executive Committee chair Jackie Leiper, FCA deputy chief executive Sarah Pritchard, Scotland’s Deputy First Minister Kate Forbes and Scottish Widows CEO Chira Barua.

Four UK government minister will also attend. Darren Jones MP, Chief Secretary to the Prime Minister; Scotland Office Minister Kirsty McNeill MP; Lucy Rigby MP, Economic Secretary to the Treasury; and Jason Stockwood, Minister for Investment.
