Scottish Renewables has announced the appointments of a new chair and a new vice-chair, who will each serve three-year terms in their respective roles.
Scottish Renewables also announced that Alasdair Campbell, director at InfraRed Capital Partners, has been co-opted to its board.
Susie Lind, a partner at international law firm CMS, will take over as chair of Scottish Renewables, succeeding Adam Morrison, the UK Country Manager for Ocean Winds, who served in the role from 2021 and remains on the industry body’s board of directors.
“Susie has worked in the energy sector for 20 years across the development, construction, operation and decommissioning of projects including on and offshore wind, solar and battery,” said Scottish Renewables.
“Currently a Partner in the Energy and Infrastructure team at CMS, Susie’s previous roles include executive director positions at EDF (UK), EDF Renewables and the BlueFloat Energy | Nadara Partnership. Susie is currently serving her third term on the Board of Scottish Renewables.”
Finley Becks-Phelps, Country Head of Development (UK) at Nadara, has been appointed as vice-chair. At Nadara, Finley leads a team that is developing the company’s renewable energy ambitions with an operational portfolio of over 1GW and an almost 1.5GW pipeline of projects across the UK.
Lind said: “I’m honoured to be elected as chair of Scottish Renewables at such a pivotal moment for our industry.
“Scotland has the expertise, the ambition and natural resources to lead the world in renewable energy and provide a more prosperous, secure future for the people of Scotland.
“I’m grateful for the trust placed in me and am determined to work with the strong team at Scottish Renewables, our members, industry partners, governments and communities to unlock investment and accelerate delivery of projects across Scotland.
“On behalf of the board, I extend an enormous thank you to the outgoing chair Adam Morrison and vice chair Ian Sinclair whose outstanding leadership and service has shaped and strengthened our organisation, equipping us to face the challenges ahead.
“I really look forward to working with Finley as vice cair, the brilliant board and team led by Claire to enable our members to deliver and operate critical Scottish projects with the great skills and experience we have here in Scotland.”

Scottish Renewables is the trade body for Scotland’s fast-growing renewable energy industry.
The Scottish Renewables board election process is overseen and supported by John Morrison of Shepherd and Wedderburn in his capacity as company secretary.
