South of Scotland Enterprise (SOSE) said it has sold the Ettrick Riverside Business Centre in Selkirk to established workspace operator Corespace, which will continue operating the building as a hub for businesses, entrepreneurs and professionals throughout the Scottish Borders.

The sale follows a decision by South of Scotland Enterprise to “step away from commercial landlord responsibilities” and focus on its core mission of supporting economic growth, enterprise and community development across the South of Scotland.

Ettrick Riverside, a distinctive A-listed former Victorian mill on the banks of the Ettrick Water, provides workspace for businesses of all sizes.

“Under its new ownership, the centre will continue to offer flexible office accommodation while benefiting from the expertise of one of Scotland’s most successful workspace operators,” said SOSE.

“Corespace currently operates business centres in Ayr, Kilwinning, Kilmarnock and Dumfries, supporting hundreds of businesses through flexible office, co-working and meeting space solutions.

“The company has established a strong reputation for revitalising historic buildings and creating vibrant business communities.

“Importantly, we will continue to maintain a presence within the building, retaining office accommodation at the Centre as part of its ongoing commitment to supporting businesses across the region.”
