Former Scottish Renewables CEO Claire Mack announced on social media she will become Director of Corporate Affairs, Transmission with SSE plc / SSEN Transmission in September.

SSE is the biggest listed firm run from Scotland.

Scottish Renewables announced in April that Mack “has decided to step down from her role to pursue the next stage of her career.”

Mack said: “Continuing to work and advocate for a sector that I love is incredible and I am grateful to Scottish Renewables and all its colleagues (past and present) alongside our members and Board for helping to shape my expertise to make what feels like a very natural next step in delivering energy and securing Scotland’s role in the future energy system.

“Looking forward to catching up with some of you old friends in a new context when I start in September but sad to be leaving a phenomenal SR chair in Susie Lind.”
