Edinburgh-based US healthcare software firm Craneware plc said the pension scheme of its CEO Keith Neilson bought 9,074 ordinary shares of the firm on Monday at £11.02 per share.
“Following this transaction, Mr. Neilson’s interest in the share capital of the Company is 3,223,545 Ordinary Shares, representing 9.42% of the Company’s issued share capital (excluding Ordinary Shares held in treasury),” said Craneware.
At Monday’s share price of around £11, Neilson’s stake in Craneware is worth roughly £35.5 million.
On July 3, Craneware shares fell around 20% after the firm published a trading update for the financial year ended June 30, 2026, saying it expects full-year performance to be below market expectations.
In June 2025, Craneware confirmed it rejected a £26.50 per share takeover proposal from Bain Capital that would have valued the Edinburgh company at about £939.4 million.
The Edinburgh firm’s shares have since fallen about 50% to just over £11, cutting its stock market value to roughly £380 million.
