Edinburgh-based Quorum Cyber said it has secured significant long-term investment from US-based private equity firm Charlesbank to augment the financial support it gets from existing partner Livingbridge.

“Following year-on-year growth since its inception in 2016, Quorum Cyber is delighted to announce fresh investment from a US-based private equity firm with an outstanding track record,” said the Edinburgh firm.

“The partnership will propel our drive to elevate existing services, increase headcount and offer exciting and innovative new services to our global customer base.

“Our ambition remains unchanged – to defend as many organisations as possible, in every sector, against cyber threats today and tomorrow.

“The backing of this new investment partner, Charlesbank, bolsters the financial support from existing partner, Livingbridge.

“Since onboarding in 2022, Livingbridge’s investment has played a major part in Quorum Cyber’s successful journey, positioning the company to maintain its impressive growth momentum in the UK and North America.”

Quorum Cyber CEO Federico Charosky said: “I am thrilled to share the exciting news that we have secured a substantial new investment to fuel our company’s expansion journey across Europe, North America, and indeed, globally.

“This achievement is a clear endorsement of the exceptional services our team delivers daily for our customers. Our mission is to protect a greater number of organisations from the ever-evolving landscape of cybercrime, and to equip our defenders with the necessary tools to stay ahead.

“This milestone is a testament to our growth, success, and vision for the future.”

Charlesbank MD Darren Battistoni said: “As cyber security threats become increasingly common, complex and global, Quorum Cyber stands out for its ability to meet the demand for world-class managed and professional cyber security and data security services.

“With its robust set of AI-enabled technology services, as well as its strong alignment with Microsoft’s cyber security suite, Quorum Cyber is well-positioned to help organisations protect themselves amidst this evolving and unpredictable landscape.

“We look forward to partnering with Federico and his talented management team to strengthen Quorum Cyber’s position in the market and expand its ability to provide cyber security solutions to organisations worldwide.”

Livingbridge Partner Matthew Jacobs said: “We are so proud of what the Quorum Cyber team has accomplished since we invested in 2022, more than tripling headcount and becoming a leading Microsoft security services provider in the UK.

“During our partnership we supported the team through a period of rapid growth and helped with Quorum Cyber’s expansion into new markets, including the US and the Middle East.

“It has been a pleasure to work alongside Federico and the team, and we’re excited to be a part of this next phase of growth alongside Charlesbank.”
